What a private driver does
Your driver collects you from your accommodation, drives you to the places you want to see, waits while you explore and brings you back at the end of the day. Andre and the team are local driver-guides, so you also get help with the plan: which order to do things in, when to beat the crowds, and what to do if the weather turns.
We offer three main services:
- Airport transfers between Cape Town International Airport and your hotel.
- Private day tours around Cape Point and the Peninsula, the city and Table Mountain, Hermanus, and further afield.
- Multi-day trips, including Garden Route road trips of several days.
How booking works, step by step
- Step 1 Send your dates. Message us on WhatsApp or use the price check on our booking app. Tell us your dates, how many people are travelling, how much luggage you have and where you are staying.
- Step 2 Get your plan and quote. We reply with a suggested itinerary and your price. Change anything you like until it suits you.
- Step 3 Secure your booking. Once you are happy, we send a secure Yoco card payment link (EFT is also possible). Bookings made 30 or more days before travel are secured with a 50% deposit; bookings within 30 days are paid in full. No payment is taken on the website.
- Step 4 Enjoy the day. Your driver collects you at the agreed time and the day runs at your pace.
Airport pickups
For arrivals, your flight is tracked and your driver meets you in the arrivals hall. Up to 2 hours of waiting on arrival is included, so a delayed flight is not a problem. Send your flight number when you book. Departures work the same way in reverse: we collect you from your hotel with enough time for check-in.
Day tours
A full private day is 8 hours, collected from and returned to your accommodation. The most popular is the Cape Point day trip: Chapman's Peak, Hout Bay, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, the Boulders penguins and Kalk Bay. Other days cover the city and Table Mountain, or Hermanus on the coast. Every day is private, so the route is planned around what you want to see.

These are the prices shown on our website and booking app. They are for your whole group, not per person:

Anything else, such as the West Coast, groups of 9 or more, or a custom plan: just ask us for a quote. Andre confirms the final price and what is included, such as toll and park entry, when he replies to your request.
What to expect on the day
- The car: Andre drives a Hyundai H1 with 8 seats. Tell us your group size, luggage and children's ages and we'll confirm seating for your trip.
- Your own pace: it is only your group in the car, so you decide how long to stay at each stop.
- Local knowledge: your driver knows the roads, the quieter times at the big sights, and good places to eat.
- Languages: our driver-guides speak English. A French-, German- or other-language-speaking driver-guide is available on request for R1,000–R2,000 extra.
- If Andre is booked: we are a family-owned business with a team of professional driver-guides, so another driver-guide from the team can take you.
Changes and cancellations
We don't give refunds, but you can move your booking to another day if you let us know at least 7 days before. After that the booking is forfeited. On the day, activities that depend on the weather can be swapped within the day's plan where possible.
